Substance Abuse Prevention Group

The Office of Criminal Justice Services Substance Abuse Program group has open attendance and focuses on relapse signs and integrates substance abuse education. Each participant may be required to attend three support group meetings (such as AA), or other support group  per week while in the group. Each session is one hour long.

Wednesday 4 - 7 p.m.

1 class. Meets every other month.  $60 cash or money order. ​Ferlazzo
 
  • You must be on time. LATE ARRVIALS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED.
  • You must not consume alcohol or alcohol containing products; no illegal drugs use.
  • You may not bring children to group. Daycare is not available.
  • Transportation or work problems are not acceptable excuses for missing or being late to group.
  • Once assigned to a group, you may not switch groups.
  • Substance Abuse III participants; if you get more than $30 behind in paying, you must continue to attend, however, your attendance will not count towards your 20 weeks until you are paid up.
  • No cell phones or sunglasses in group.
  • Provide AA/NA slips to the group facilitator.
  • If you exceed the number of allowed absences, your case will be returned to court.

Inclement weather policy: The Office of Criminal Justice Services Group Inclement Weather Policy is based on Prince William County School Closings. Group meetings will be canceled if PWC School after-school activitiesare canceled due to inclement weather.
