Clerk of Court  

Michèle B. McQuigg has served the citizens of the County of Prince William and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park as Clerk of Circuit Court since January 1, 2008. Previously, she was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates representing the 51st District (1998-2007) and the Occoquan District Supervisor on the Prince William Board of County Supervisors (1992-1998).
 
Michèle served on Governor Warner's Commission on Efficiency and Effectiveness (Wilder Commission) and the Commonwealth Performance Management Advisory Committee.  She was a House of Delegates Committee member on Courts of Justice (Chairman, Judicial Selection subcommittee & Vice Chairman, Civil subcommittee) and General Laws (Vice Chairman).  She served as Chairman of the Disability Commission.  Michèle was a  member of numerous other commissions, including the Joint Commission on Administrative Rules, Child Support Guidelines Review Panel, Joint Subcommittee to Study the Operations of Circuit Court Clerks' Offices, Joint Subcommittee to Study Virginia's Adoption Laws and Policies (Vice Chairman), Sub-Committee to Study Domestic Relations Division of Circuit Court, and Liaison to Attorney General's Task Force on Gang and Youth Violence.  In addition, she has served on numerous transportation committees at the national, state and local level.
 
Michèle has been a member of Lake Ridge-Occoquan-Coles Civic Association since 1978 and is a Friend/Life Member of the Dale City Civic Association. She is on the Board of Directors of her homeowners association, a member of ACTS, the Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars 1503 (life member), and Neighborhood Watch volunteer.  She is a member of the Prince William Republican Committee and the Prince William Republican Women's Club as well as Associate Member of the Barbara Bush Republican Women's Club and the Bull Run Republican Women's Club.
 
Previously, Michèle served on George Mason University's Board of Visitors. She is a life member of the Virginia Parent Teacher Association having served as Co-President of Occoquan and Fred Lynn School PTAs, Vice President of the Prince William Parent-Teacher Coalition and first Treasurer of Hunt District PTA and helped initiate the first Prince William Before & After School School-Based Childcare.  She was the Clean Community Councils' first Recycling Committee Chairman and 1990 Volunteer of the Year as well as a member of the Board of Directors.  She has served numerous other groups including Lake Ridge Mini-Library Volunteer, Prince William County Crime Commission Board of Directors, Park Authority District III Advisory Board, Camp 6 (prison work release) Advisory Board, Cultural Arts Federation, READ Community Literacy Council (Co-Founder), and Steering Committee for Commission on Youth
 
Michèle has been a real estate broker, manager of computer operations for the National Tax Limitation Committee, Prince William County Schools Adult Basic Education Coordinator/Teacher, and First Grade Teacher.
 
She has a B.S. from Mary Washington College and a M.S. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech).
 
Michèle has been a resident of Prince William County since 1973.  She has 2 married daughters, Heather and Katie (Woodbridge H.S. Class of 1986 and 1989) and 5 grandchildren--Robert, Colleen, Emily, Shelby and Luke.  She is a member of All Saints Anglican Church in Dale City.
