Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays
A Law Librarian is available for research assistance Monday - Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The Library is not staffed from 1:30 to 3 p.m.; however, the library remains open and its resources continue to be available for use.
The Law Library provides access to and instruction in the use of legal resources to citizens and legal practitioners.
Staff consists of a law librarian who provides assistance with locating legal information and sample legal forms.
The law librarian may not draft legal documents, do legal research, answer a legal question or advise any patron as to what the law on a particular issue is, what the text of a law or legal opinion means, or on legal procedure, court rules, or jurisdiction. Consultation with a lawyer is recommended with respect to those issues as well as with the use of legal forms and/or form books. Computers are provided for court-related word processing and court-related Internet access only.
Meeting rooms (2) are available to be reserved for up to two hours during regular operating hours for use by a maximum of 6 individuals conducting courthouse-related business that require some privacy. These meeting rooms are wheelchair accessible. Reservations may be scheduled up to one day in advance of use.
Prints resulting from legal research and legal documents cost 35 cents per page. Photocopies cost 35 cents per page/side.
Copies and Photocopies must be paid for in cash.
