Ever since Captain John Smith discovered present-day Prince William County, Virginia nearly 400 years ago, countless travelers have discovered the destination’s unique blend of historic attractions, championship sports, distinctive shopping and pristine natural settings.
Located just 30 miles from Washington, D.C., Prince William County is home to the first major battle of the Civil War. Today, visitors can journey through hallowed ground at Manassas National Battlefield Park and rediscover its timeless stories of courage and determination.

From yesterday’s battlefields, to today’s frontlines, Prince William County is home to the internationally-renowned National Museum of the Marine Corps. Boasting stunning architecture and featuring interactive displays, the museum attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world each year.
