The Teaching Garden at the Benedictine Monastery
9535 Linton Hall Road, Bristow, VA 20136

The Teaching Garden is project of the Master Gardener volunteers. It began as a garden in which to grow fresh produce for the Plant a Row for the Hungry project, and a place where the Master Gardeners could teach homeowners how to grow vegetables. The Teaching Garden is a place to see low maintenance gardening techniques that homeowners can implement in their own gardens and features plant material that grows well locally.

Master Gardeners are at the garden every Tuesday evening and on some weekends from March through September. If you'd like to schedule a visit with a Master Gardener, please contact us. We also offer short classes each “First Saturday in the Garden” every month during the growing season on turf, vegetables, ornamentals, pests and diseases. Click the link for the Teaching Garden Brochure which contains a map of the teaching garden bed layout. View the upcoming events at the Garden, here, as well as other horticulture classes offered by the Master Gardeners.
