Mission
To provide, coordinate, and facilitate the use of technology and information resources to the County Government in support of its stated Strategic Plan so that the citizens of Prince William County can achieve their goals and objectives.
OIT Organization
The Office of Information Technology is divided into three major divisions:
Geographic Information Systems – designs, implements, and maintains geographic applications and provides current land information. The main focus is on electronic public access to geographic data. Information Systems – designs, implements, and manages integrated information systems by utilizing existing technologies such as internet, interactive voice response, and document management/workflow systems. The main focus is on electronic public access to information. Infrastructure Management – designs, implements, and maintains the County Government’s communications, voice, and data networks; and provides seamless support and technical training to the agencies. |
