Frank J. Principi was elected to his first term as Woodbridge Supervisor in Nov. 2007. Mr. Principi serves on the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG), Northern Virginia Regional Commission (NVRC), Virginia Association of Counties (VACO) Community Development Committee, Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC), the National Capitol Region’s Emergency Preparedness Council, the Quantico Growth Management Committee (Base Realignment and Closure Act) and the Potomac Hospital. Mr. Principi brings extensive Federal, state, and local public policy experience having worked on Capitol Hill, National Governors Association, and as an industry lobbyist.
Prior to his election, Mr. Principi served in Prince William County as Chairman of the Prince William County Future Commission 2030. The Commission interviewed nearly 2,000 County residents to develop this County’s vision and the basis of the County’s Strategic Plan and Capital Improvement Program (CIP). He has also served on the Prince William County Transportation (Mobility) Advisory Group, updating the land use, transportation and mass transit chapters of the Comprehensive Plan. He served for seven years on Prince William County’s Board of Equalization, charged with overseeing the Finance Department’s Real Estate Property Tax Assessment Office. He is a graduate of the Prince William County Community Leadership Institute (CLI). Mr. Principi holds memberships in the Prince William Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Prince William County and Woodbridge Democratic Committees and the community service organization, Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Principi is Owner and Managing Partner of Crisis Partners International (CPI), a management consulting firm specializing in crisis management and homeland security. The firm helps Fortune 1000 companies and governments prepare, respond to, and recover from a wide range of natural and man made disasters through assessments, planning, training, exercises, and real-time response and recovery efforts. He earned his B.A. in American History and Political Science at the University of California, Los Angeles, is a Masters Candidate in Government and Politics at the University of Maryland, College Park and is a Guest Lecturer on international crises. Mr. Principi resides in Woodbridge with his wife Cecilia and their twin daughters, Ana Michele and Diana Marie. They are parishioners of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. |
