Annual Recycling Reporting Information  




 
  

The Annual Recycling Reporting Form for Businesses, Non-Residential Property and Refuse/Recycling Haulers was March 1, 2009.

 

INSTRUCTIONS: Section 22-169 of the Prince William County Code Chapter 22 Update and Revisions requires all companies that manage solid waste or recycling materials within Prince William County, Virginia to report annually their recycling activities to the County’s Department of Public Works Solid Waste Division for the previous calendar year. This information is also required to meet reporting requirements adopted pursuant to Sections 10.1-1411 and 15.1 – 11.5.2, Code of Virginia.

 

The current Annual Recycling Reporting form is similar to the form used in previous years. The Business Recycling Report Form is self-explanatory. Below is guidance, mainly for Refuse/Recycling Hauling/Processing companies:

  • Section A includes company and contact information,
  • Section B includes recycling collection activity, and
  • Section C includes refuse collection activity.
  • Include on this report only recyclable materials and refuse collected in Prince William County (see Zip Codes for a listing of these areas).
  • Do not include recycling or refuse tonnage collected within the City of Manassas or Manassas Park, because those materials should be reported directly to those localities.
  • All information reported should be based on actual weight tickets; however, estimates may be used, providing that standard conversions are used and calculations are provided (see Recycling Conversion Table).
  • Lastly, do not include any waste that is produced or generated during construction, remodeling, or repair of pavements, houses, commercial buildings, and other structures.
