Servicios de Emergencia División del
THE EMERGENCY SERVICES (ES) DIVISION is at the center of Community Services (CS) service delivery system. The division consists of two components, Intake Services and Crisis Intervention Services. |
Intake Services are provided primarily over the phone and are available in the Woodbridge and Manassas offices from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Intake staff gather information from callers in order to identify service needs and work collaboratively to ensure that the most appropriate services are provided. When service needs are best served by a CS program and if caller is eligible for CS services, an initial appointment for one of our outpatient programs is offered. If caller’s need is best served outside of CS, a referral to non-CS programs is made.
Crisis Intervention Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Scheduled and walk-in services are available at the Manassas and Woodbridge offices from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Emergency Services staff are in the community and available after these hours, on weekends and holidays and can be accessed by calling our main number.
The Mission of the Emergency Services Crisis Intervention Program is to be responsive on a 24 hour basis to the members of our community and to provide comprehensive and respectful intervention to people who are experiencing a crisis related to mental health, substance abuse and/or intellectual disabilities. It is very important for our program to work collaboratively with citizens, their families and other community agencies in a way that supports self-determination to the greatest extent possible while also maintaining the safety for the individual and the community.
The following services are offered: crisis intervention, emergency evaluations to determine the need for inpatient psychiatric admission or substance abuse detoxification, and short-term out-patient treatment.
