Prince William County residents may now apply for a Solid Waste Disposal - Residential User Decal that will allow for faster entry when using the County Landfill, Balls Ford Yard Waste Composting Facility, rural park-outs, and the Household hazardous waste collection sites. This decal is not available for commercial users. We encourage regular residential users of the County Landfill or other solid waste facilities to obtain and display this decal to facilitate entry. However, a Solid Waste Disposal - Residential User Decal is not required and residency can still be established by showing your driver’s license, or the top portion of your personal property or real estate tax bill. (For reference see Prince William County Code, Chapter 22, Regulations for the Prince William County Solid Waste Facilities, Landfill Rules, and Balls Ford Facility Rules).

• The decal is not transferable and may be revoked if used in violation of the Solid Waste system regulations, including the requirement that the decal not be given to or shared with non-County residents. The decal does not relieve you of any fees that may be applicable. County staff reserves the right to ask for other identification.
• There is no charge for this decal and the decal does not expire. No more than 2 (two) decals per address will be issued.
• The decal must be permanently affixed to the inside of the vehicle windshield on the driver’s side at the bottom left corner (within 1” from the left edge and 3” from bottom - see illustration below). Loose or taped decals will not be accepted.
