PWC - Building Development Division

The Building Development Division of the Department of Development Services enforces the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code to ensure the buildings in which we live, work and play are safe. We are only one of many steps in the building construction process, and we deal specifically with reviewing building construction plans and specifications, issuing building construction permits, performing critical building construction inspections, and ensuring building code compliance. The Building Development Fee Schedule and the Land Plan Review and Inspections Fee Schedule have been revised as approved by the Prince William Board of County Supervisors during the FY10 budget adoption. Fee Schedule revisions are effectice July 1, 2009.
