Arts, Entertainment, History and Culture

A rich array of museums, performing arts opportunities and historic resources is available to Prince William County residents and visitors to the County.

  • Many fun and free music and performing arts events are scheduled on the Sean T. Connaughton Community Plaza.
  • The newest performing arts venue in the County is the state of the art Hylton Performing Arts Center. The Center hosts performances by many visiting and local performing artists and has a gallery featuring local artists' work.
  • Jiffy Lube Live is an outdoor amphitheater that hosts nationally known musical acts. It's located in the western part of the County. Visit the Jiffy Lube Live website for information about upcoming shows.
  • Many of the performing and cultural arts groups in the County are members of the Arts Council, through the Prince William County Park Authority. A list is available here: Arts Council
  • The Prince William County Historic Preservation Division of the Public Works Department maintains many historic properties that are open to the public, and hold events throughout the year. Visit the Historic Preservation Events page for more information.  
  • The Prince William County/Manassas Convention and Visitors Bureau maintains lists of arts and cultural venues, museums and historical sites.
