If you did not pass the Written Test

You can no longer be considered, but can reapply for our next hiring process and have an opportunity to retest.
 
If you did not pass CPAT
 
You can no longer be considered, but can reapply for our next hiring process and have an opportunity to retest.
 
If you passed the Written Test and CPAT
 
Your application, Personal History Statements and documents will be carefully reviewed and some of you will be scheduled for a polygraph exam.  Polygraphs are conducted on an ongoing basis for approximately 2 months after the written test.  Not all candidates will move on to a polygraph.
 
Please note that it is important that you continue your physical training.  If selected, you will need to be physically ready for Recruit School.
 
If you are polygraphed
 
Some of you will be scheduled for a psychological screening.  These are conducted on an ongoing basis for approximately 3 months after the written test.  Not all candidates who are polygraphed will move on to a psychological screening.
 
If you are psychologically screened
 
Some of you will be scheduled for a medical examination and drug test.  These are scheduled on an ongoing basis for approximately 4 months after the written test.  Not all candidates who have been polygraphed and psychologically screened will move on to a medical exam.
 
If you have a medical exam and drug test
 
Some, but not all, will be offered employment.
 
If you are going to be offered employment
 
Approximately one month prior to the start of Recruit School, Personnel staff will make an employment offer by telephone, and if accepted, the offer will be followed by an email and a letter from our Chief.
 
If you are NOT going to be offered employment
 
All candidates will be notified of their status approximately one month prior to Recruit School start date.
