Prince William sponsors two popular camps every summer:

Junior 4-H Camp: Junior camp is a five-day camp for youth ages 9-13, held the third week of July at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center in Front Royal, Virginia. Children participate in camp classes, recreation, swimming and campfires -- and have lots of fun! Extension agent staff, trained adults and teen counselors operate the camp.

Fair Day Camp: Fair Day Camp is held during the week of the annual County Fair, at the Prince William County Fairgrounds. Children ages 5-12 learn about agriculture in Virginia and enter projects in the fair.

WHY WE CAMP...

  • to provide a fun, exciting and educational experience in a safe setting
  • to give youth an opportunity for personal growth through bonding and teamwork experiences
  • to help youth develop self-esteem, self-worth, and communication and leadership skills through a variety of activities
  • to provide opportunities for youth to learn to take responsibility for their own decisions and actions
  • to provide new opportunities that are not readily accessible in a child's community
Camping has long been a part of our 4-H program. Special interest camps are held at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center in Front Royal, Virginia. For more information and to register for special interest camps, call 540-635-7171.

All youth are eligible to attend these camps, however, 4-H members may be given preferenceContact Prince William 4-H at 703-792-6286 or e-mail for more information about 4-H camps.
