Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre Trust  




 
 

The purpose of the Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre Trust was to manage the preservation, development, restoration and operation of the Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre as a historic site, an institution for public records and artifacts, and as an educational resource for the public to understand life as it was at a government center and village for a rural area during key periods of our national growth. The site is open to the public. The Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre Trust was made up of eight members: four from Prince William County government, two from the Friends of Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre, Inc., one from the Brentsville community and one from the Prince William County Historical Commission; each with an alternate.

The members of the Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre Trust agreed to enter into a joint undertaking and contribute their resources and expertise to achieve the above noted objectives, and to provide for fund raising and the expenditure of funds raised for purposes related to these goals. Click to learn more about this agreement by viewing the Memorandum of Understanding.
