Due to the high number of foreclosures in the Washington Metropolitan region, a regional consortium has been created to apply for approximately $35 million in NSP2 funds to stabilize hard hit regional communities.  The consortium is comprised of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) and the following six local jurisdictions: the City of Alexandria, Virginia; the City of Bowie, Maryland; Fairfax County, Virginia; the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland; Prince George's County, Maryland; and Prince William County, Virginia.
