Weekly Waste Collection Sites

Need a new Solid Waste Disposal Residential Decal?

The County offers collection sites in rural areas for residents to dispose of their waste every Saturday. Call 703-792-4670 or 703-792-5750.  Residents may drop off household waste every Saturday, except when these collection sites are not available during community events:

·         From 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Nokesville Elementary School at 12625 Fitzwater Drive in Nokesville.

·         At Evergreen Volunteer Fire Department at 3510 James Madison Highway, Haymarket, in the Gainesville District from 7 a.m. to noon. The trash pickup site is located in the upper parking lot behind the station. You may also bring aluminum cans to the site to donate to the Aluminum Cans for Burned Children Program. The program supports children recovering from severe burns. A container for the cans is located at the station.

Household refuse is accepted at these sites AT THOSE TIMES ONLY.

Trash must be bagged and securely tied. Please remember to cover any loads of refuse carried in a pickup truck to prevent littering along the roadways. Residents may also recycle glass bottles and jars, #1 and #2 plastic jugs, newspapers, and food and beverage cans at these sites.

No medical or hazardous waste, bulky items or appliances will be accepted. Residents are asked to dispose of bulky items, appliances, used motor oil, yard waste, tires, and other recycling items at the County Landfill (14811 Dumfries Road) or at the PW Yard Waste Composting Facility (13000 Balls Ford Road). Household hazardous waste is accepted at the Landfill every Wednesday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
